Santo Domingo, que se encuentra en una posici\u00f3n genuflexa, est\u00e1 en una actitud orante y el perro y la antorcha a sus pie, que seg\u00fan la tradici\u00f3n responde a un sue\u00f1o que tuvo la madre de santo Domingo, cuyo significado ser\u00eda la luz de la palabra del fundador en sus predicaciones. Porta un libro en su mano izquierda y el rosario en la derecha y destaca sobre todo la t\u00e9cnica del estofado en sus ropajes.<\/p><p>Santa Catalina lleva el rosario en la mano derecha y el rostro lo inclina hacia la Virgen con quien manten\u00eda la mencionada conversaci\u00f3n, encontr\u00e1ndose en una posici\u00f3n arrodillada con ampulosos ropajes y un fino estofado como en el caso de la imagen anterior. Se trata de una peque\u00f1a figura muy pintada y que lleva un rosario y sostiene al Ni\u00f1o con su mano izquierda y en la que se puede apreciar una mirada baja y fija que parece indicar un cierto recogimiento. Es una escultura poco expresiva y lo m\u00e1s destacable es el magn\u00edfico manto dorado en el que sobresale su policrom\u00eda. Es obra de finales del siglo XV, pero muy restaurada en el siglo XVII. Est\u00e1 atribuida a Lorenzo Mercadante de Breta\u00f1a, quien tambi\u00e9n realiz\u00f3 el sepulcro del Cardenal Cervantes y la decoraci\u00f3n de las portadas del Nacimiento y Bautismo, ambas en la catedral de Sevilla.<\/p><p>La imagen est\u00e1 de pie sobre una peana y sostiene al Ni\u00f1o con su mano izquierda, presentando un rostro poco expresivo y con la mirada baja. La restauraci\u00f3n puede apreciarse sobre todo en el manto y la t\u00fanica, el primero adornado con estrellas y el segundo con motivos florales anudado en su cintura y con la t\u00e9cnica del estofado. Ambos ropajes destacan por la belleza y buen gusto y es posible que con la mano derecha, al unir dos dedos, portara una flor o fruto que ahora no lleva.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-67ba44f elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget
